Lambton Jr Sting Minor PeeWee's Split a Pair of Weekend Games

The Jr Sting squad travelled to Bothwell on Saturday and fell to the home Chatham-Kent Cyclones by a final score of 4-3. On Sunday Lambton hosted the Kitchener Rangers at the RBC Centre and played just well enough to come away with a 1-0 victory.
In Saturday's contest in Bothwell, special teams were the flavour of the day as the imported European referees controlled the pace and flow of the game to the tune of 45 and 24 minutes in penalties respectively to the two teams during their forty minute game. Lambton goal scorers were Logan Scott, Morgan Halcovitch and Franco Sproviero, all with singles. Assists went to Sproviero, Jake Burnard, Jarret Marks, Colin Leyten and Isaac McLean. Jake Wilkins was solid in net to keep things close.
In their home game vs Kitchener the Jr Sting did not appear sharp but thanks to some timely saves by Wilkins were able to gain the victory. Brock Perry was the lone scorer on a nice deflection of a hard Halcovitch point shot early in the second period.
