MIDGET'S FINISH PRE-SEASON WITH A 5-0 RECORD
Midget’s finish Preseason with a 5-0 record outscoring their opponents 16 - 4

Sept 15, 9am – The midgets boarded the bus for what would prove to be a day that would show the coaching staff that this year’s team would be relentless in their pursuit of the Alliance championship. Brantford - From the moment the puck dropped it was apparent that the boys were fired up for this game. A relentless attack resulted in the stings first goal less than 6 minutes into the game and the second just two minutes later. Two power play and one regular strength goal in the second was all that was required to end this game as the clock moved to straight time and the Midgets ran the clock down.

With a quick meal on the road the team headed straight to Windsor for their first look at the Jr. Spitfires. Windsor 7:00 pm – Any worries that the Jr. Sting would have a slow start after already playing a game and spending 3 hours on the bus were quickly dismissed as the Jr. Sting went straight after Windsor right from the puck drop. This was to be a different game as the Jr. Spits are a big physical team with outstanding goaltending. However this was just the test the Jr. Sting were looking for as they demonstrated to coach Taylor that they would not be intimidated by anyone and showed the Jr. Spits that this years team plays hard, physical in your face hockey shift after shift. Although giving up the first goal to the Windsor power play the Jr. Sting never varied from their game plan and battled back to a 4-2 win.
