Sting Win 4th in a Row
Playing their last regular season game at home Saturday Lambton was looking to continue their strong play and come away with a victory. The opponent's were the Spitfires from Windsor.
Windsor got on the board first scoring a PP goal that stood up for the first period.
Conner Royer tied things up for Lambton scoring a nice goal early in the second frame. Nick Discanno and Eric Cardinal assisted on the goal.
Windsor regained the lead scoring another PP goal and that is where things stood after two periods, 2-1 Windsor.
The third period was all Lambton but they could not get the equalizer until Conner Royer scored his second of the game with just 5 minutes remaining on the clock, as Nick Discanno and Eric Cardinal assisted once again.
Lambton continued to apply pressure and would get the game winner when Jared Pageau scored with two minutes remaining on a Max Steeves face off win.
Windsor could not get any sustained pressure the rest of the way and the Sting skated off with a well deserved 3-2 victory.
Once again Kyle Brinacombe was rock solid in net.
A total team victory !!
