Minor Bantam, 2012-2013 (Lambton Jr. Sting AAA Hockey )

The curtain finally came down on the Jr Sting season when they were eliminated in the Championship Sautrday at home by the Hamilton Huskies. The once again under manned squad lost 3-1(EN) to a well coached hockey team. Congratulations to Hamilton on the victory as they are a class organization.

The Minor Bantams were facing an uphill battle, trailing the 8 pt Playoff Championship six points to none against a very tough Hamilton Huskies squad. Lambton were at home Saturday to try and keep the dream alive and escaped by the skin of their teeth, pulling off a come back tie.

A very short handed Sting Team travelled to Hamilton Friday evening to play the Hamilton Huskies in game one of the best of seven playoff finals.

The Minor Bantams were at home Sunday afternoon looking to close out the semi finals with a victory in the round robin format. A win or a tie would send Lambton to the Playoff Finals and a loss meant Windsor would advance. Standing in the way were the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs and they were not going to exit quietly.

The Sting travelled to Windsor Saturday night facing elimination with a loss as Windsor beat Elgin for the second time Friday night. The Sting were without 4 skaters so AP Bailey Smalls from Mooretown was called upon to help the team.
